But it wasn’t until February 14, 1929 that the Thompson Submachine Gun earned its reputation worldwide in the famous St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. If it was good enough for Al Capone, it’s good enough for me!
This particular Model 1921 A1 is in absolutely mint condition. While this specimen is not one of the two guns actually used in the massacre it includes a dizzying array of accessories, and belongs in the Smithsonian Institution. It is one of few without the bulky Cutts barrel compensator.
This gun speaks for itself. It is another museum piece and is an original, not something put together nor a sear gun. The part numbers are matching, a rare event.
